Difficult fat graft

side effect treatment

'requires accumulated know-how'

SHINYU CLINIC

Causes of Fat Graft

Side Effects

For fat grafted to the breast

or buttocks to engraft well, there

must be sufficient blood supply.

If blood flow is insufficient, the

rate of non-engrafted fat increases.

Non-engrafted fat can cause side effect lesions such as fat necrosis,

calcification, oil cysts, fibrosis, and chronic inflammatory tissue.

If acute inflammation occurs,

it can lead to breast deformation,

discoloration, and tissue necrosis.

Treatment Methods for

Fat Graft Side Effects

Removal of oil cysts with a syringe

        under ultrasound guidance

  Simple treatment

Not many cases fall into this category

Accurate injection of local anesthetic

         under ultrasound guidance

Use of equipment such as  Mammotome

          and micro-debriders depending on the

          nature of the lesion

Most cases fall into this category

Fat Graft Side Effect

Treatment Cases

It was a condition where pus flowed out

through the skin due to acute

inflammation that occurred after

breast fat grafting.

We removed the fat necrosis lumps,

hematoma, and damaged tissue

that initiated the inflammation and

performed acute inflammation

treatment.

This patient visited due to a palpable

breast lump after breast fat grafting,

and a large calcified lump of 4~5cm

was observed.

Large fat graft lumps have a high risk

in case of acute inflammation,

so removal is needed as soon as possible.

We safely removed only the lump

while preserving normal tissue under

ultrasound guidance.

This patient developed severe acute

inflammation after breast fat grafting,

and a large abscess (pus pocket)

was formed inside the breast.

In such cases, the incision is larger

compared to normal fat graft side effect

treatments, and a drainage tube may

need to be placed for about 1-2 weeks.

Non-engrafted fat necrosis masses

formed a long band across the breast,

and a large amount of calcification was

observed in endoscopic findings.

We removed various fat graft side effect

lesions under the guidance of imaging

devices such as ultrasound and

endoscopy.
